No More Neupogen

The Neupogen had no effect on my blood counts. My doctor thought he'd keep me on it until he heard that I needed morphine last night to deal with the bone pain. I think we should be patient and let the cells work when they are ready. This should be any day now.

I received two units of platelets today (LC58620 & LC58569).

I haven't been feeling that well all day. My nurse just told me it's from the Neupogen. I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow.

About Me: My name is Nancy Sakakura. I began having problems with my blood counts in 2002. I was diagnosed with Myelodyplastic Syndrome (MDS) and Myelofibrosis in 2004 and have been in search of a bone marrow donor since that time. I will finally be undergoing a bone marrow transplant and will be admitted to the City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, CA on Mother's Day, May 14, 2006.
