Two Steps Forward, One Back
Last night the nurses gave me a dose of Methotrexate, a medication to help prevent or treat graft vs. host disease (rejection.) Since this is a chemo-based drug, it caused me to go back to having awful side effects such as nausea, lack of appetite and loss of taste buds.
I had a severe bloody nose which lasted a total of 6 hours into the wee hours of the morning. The nurses didn't know what to do to help me. They infused me with a unit of platelets (#LC58211) which helped.
I was running a fever today. The doctors added yet another anti-biotic to my regiment because of this fever of unknown origin.
