Uneventful Day

Today, Mom and I spent five hours in the clinic getting my IV antifungals and magnesium. Apparently, I need so much magnesium because the anti-rejection drugs deplete it from my system. We're slowly getting the number of hours in clinic down. Mom will finally get a break as Mark will take over for a few days starting tomorrow morning.

About Me: My name is Nancy Sakakura. I began having problems with my blood counts in 2002. I was diagnosed with Myelodyplastic Syndrome (MDS) and Myelofibrosis in 2004 and have been in search of a bone marrow donor since that time. I will finally be undergoing a bone marrow transplant and will be admitted to the City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, CA on Mother's Day, May 14, 2006.
