My Hero, Dale
Many of you have followed my blog for the last (almost) two years. I have frequently mentioned a little boy named Dale Inouye. Last Sunday, March 16, he went home to be with the Lord. He lost a courageous fight against ALL. He was sick for seven of his nine years but, he lived life to the fullest despite all of his struggles. He touched so many of us during his short stay here and has forever left such a beautiful imprint of his life.
He always wore a smile on his face and when I last saw him in October, I never even caught a glimpse of the burden of his illness. He was, and still is, a shining star in my eyes and will always be an inspiration to me. I'm so broken-hearted but am taking comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering. Dale will always be my hero.
Here is a photo of me and Dale's wonderful family taken last October at A3M's Starnight. My hand is on Dale's shoulder, next to Dale is his brother Derek, then in the back row is his mom, Juliann, brother, Danny and father, Wade.
Please pray for Dale's family.
