Appointments And A Puppy!

I made my quarterly visit to the City of Hope today. It was a good day. My counts are stable:

WBC 2.8 (norm 4.0 - 11.0)
RBC 3.84 (3.8 - 5.2)
HGB 12.5 (11.5-15.5)
HCT 35.9 (35 - 47)
PLT 96 (150-350)

My doctor is not concerned with any of my counts and has changed my appointments to once every six months! yay!!
I got to visit with my dear friend and fellow transplant patient, Susan. See the sidebar for her blog.

Susan is currently doing well but has had a few issues since her transplant 2.5 years ago. I'm hoping she'll overcome them and life will return to normal, so to speak.

After my mom passed away, somehow we ended up with a stray puppy. We scoured the animal shelters for "lost dog" info, but nobody reported him as lost. The vet says he's about six months old and is a poodle mix. He's just a real joy! My only regret so far was taking Miso to the groomers last week. Here's a before and after photo... Oh well, his hair will grow back eventually... (I know, I know....he looks cuter in the "before" photo because I was fooling around with a free app on my phone and decorated his photo... like I have nothing better to do, right?)

Life is good. Thank you for your continued support. I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by so many loving and caring friends and family (and now puppies, too)! love, nance

Comments:
I love those numbers! Miso is a little cutie and I love his name.

Thanks Ann. Miso's hair is starting to grow out a bit. It's looking better. He's a real sweetie and a blessing to our family!

I'm still jealous of your counts! I'll get there... slowly, but that works, too! love ya, n
