5.5 Years And Counting....

Sorry for not posting for a long time. Just been busy with life, just like all of you. Ah, so nice to be able to say that! Saw my favorite doctor today and had labs (three sticks later, on the back of my hand for lack of any good veins anywhere else, they got the samples, ugghh and ouch!)

WBC 3.0 (norm 4.0-11.0)
RBC 4.0 (norm 3.8-5.2)
HGB 12.7 (norm 11.4-15.5)
HCT 37.1 (norm 35.0-47)
PLT 106 (norm 150-350)
ANC 1.5 norm (1.9-8.7)

My counts are stable and Dr. Nakamura is not worried, still says these counts may be my new norm. If he isn't concerned, I won't be either. But, he still wants to see me every six months.

Life is good... busy, but good. This is the time of year (from now until New Year's Day) that I always pack on the pounds. I blame it on the holidays and also when it gets cold my body craves insulation. I'm fighting it off this year. If I can emerge at New Year's at my current weight, I'll be happy . I've started resistance workouts because of the chemo-induced osteoporosis and thought it would also help control my weight. I think it's working. I just need to maintain this regimen through the holidays. Also, still trying to get my 10,000 steps a day. I'm going to need some support to keep up the dieting and workouts! Anybody else up for the challenge?

Hope all of you stay healthy and warm. Steer clear of sick people! Get your flu shots. Thank you for checking on my blog.... love you all... nancy

It makes me so happy to see that you are doing so well!
I should totally start doing the 10,000 steps thing. The holidays really invite extra pounds, don't they?
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
